Jerry Edward Briery, age 60 of Bellingham, WA, passed away March 22, 2002 at his residence. He was born May 29, 1941 in Longview, WA, to Edward and Viola (Larson) Johnson.
Jerry married Karen Jester August 12, 1961 in Bellingham, WA. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Skagit AKA 105 transporter of troops ship.
Jerry was employed at Alcoa Corporation. He collected antique victrolas,radios and owned a 1960 red Thunderbird.
He will be remembered for his love for his wife Karen and his children, the outdoors, camping, fishing and his love for black powder activities. His greatest passion was his grandchildren.
Survived by his wife Karen Briery of Bellingham, daughters Lisa Daniels and partner Gary Butenschoen, Jerilee and Bill Gartrell, son Kevin and Annie Briery, all of Bellingham, WA; brother Gary Briery of Palmdale, CA; sister Roswitha Miller of Washington; and 7 grandchildren Brandon, Anthony, Dakota, Joseph, Kaisha, Hailee and Kati;
Memorial services will be held 2:00pm Thursday, March 28, 2002 at Sunrise Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to American Lung Association.
